— xoxo, Joanne (@ladygaga) February 6, 2017The tour takes its name from her most recent album, “Joanne,” which was released in October.
Several hours after posting the news on Twitter, tour dates and locations were listed on Lady Gaga’s website. The tour will begin in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Aug. 1, and will include stops in New York, Rio de Janeiro, Berlin and other cities across Europe and the Western Hemisphere before wrapping up in Salt Lake City in December.
Some fans said they were eager to hear her perform but expected to pay handsomely for the privilege.
Others seemed unsurprised that Gaga was riding the wave of her Super Bowl success with a big announcement :@ladygaga you're giving me a million reasons to give you a million dollars pic.twitter.com/2UVAjO2adf— Brian A. Hernandez (@BAHjournalist) February 6, 2017
